It has been ages since my last post on here ( I know I sound like a broken record) but it really has been far to long. So as part of my new years resolution I bid to start getting things back on this ol blog! Lots has happened since my last post, I have moved from sunny Poole to the big city that is London and am now out in the wide world fending for myself. The big move was probably one of the most stressful times but im so glad I did it!
Anyway enough of me rambling on! The past two days have been spent enjoying some time off work and trailing the vintage shops, markets and chairty shops in London that I have been wanting to look around for ages!! It was an amazing treasure trove of finds a very fruitful couple of days.
First I visited the Salvation Army just off of Oxford Street. I found some good finds including a velvet skirt, navy printed blouse and a light blue button up blouse. I also hit up brick lane and visited Absolute Vintage where I normally only browse as its a bit pricy, however I stumbled across a bargain bin all items where priced £3 each or two for £5!! Amazing! I may have gone a little crazy.... I purchased two pencil skirts, a dress, blouse and two bags one being an amazing leather satchel bag. After going crazy I probably should have called it a day, but I decided to venture to Beyond Retro (I swear I could spend all day just looking at all the beautiful yet slightly crazy things and stalking the amazingly cool staff who always look so prim and proper every single day!) anyhow I purchased some pretty little shoes navy blue and gold with detailing on the front. These were a necessity as my other shoes had been ruined by my epic walking in London. Here are a few pics of my thrifting finds!

Sunday.
On Sunday Zoe and myself took a little road trip to Blandford. Our plan for the day was to visit their fashion museum to take some blog photos and then grab some lunch.
Despite getting a little lost we eventually found the museum tucked in a little side road, realising we had driven past it about three times after driving around the one way system a few times too! Only then to find that the museum was closed on Sundays! (who closes national trust places on Sundays?!) Anyway we soon made the most of our day by taking photos outside the museum, which was in a old traditional house called Lime Tree house which was really pretty as you can see from our photos. It had a lovely little garden too with lots of roses and flowers.
Before lunch we spent some time to wonder around Blandford and I'm glad we did! I never realised Blandford was so pretty. It had some lovely old buildings like the church and the town hall. After we had some lunch in a old traditional pub (we both had a turkey roast dinner with all the trimmings!) We headed over a bridge and took some photos by the river which again was stunning.
My outfit for the day consisted of mainly vintage. Vintage top, skirt and bag and my trusty topshop ankle boots. The weather was lovely for this time of year still sunny but breezy. After Blandford we went to visit our friend Nat who has just moved so had a good catch up and drank lots of tea! After an initial false start I had a great weekend spending time visiting old places and chilling with friends. Hope you had a great weekend too!

The best weekend.
Wow, okay so I really can't believe I haven't blogged since January! This is awful and I'm so ashamed to admit it has been that long. I could try and say that I have been snowed under and super busy with work, but although work has been busy I have been well, just very lazy! So I apologise but I will vow never to let blogging slip quite so much again!
This weekend was a very special one as myself and my good friend Zoe met up with our old uni friends who we haven't seen since our graduation two whole years ago. We met on Saturday evening and went for dinner to a lovely Italian restaurant and ate lots of pizza and pasta and chatted about old uni days catching up with what was happening in everyone's lives. It was the best Saturday evening we had lots of fun. It was really nice to see them again and we can't wait to catch up again soon.
On Sunday afternoon we went for a drive around the Purbeck hills and took some photos. I was so excited to finally take some decent photos of my Fieldguided tote bag I received a while ago. It came at the best time as I was sick in bed with tonsillitis, so this really cheered me up.It came in the prettiest packaging and I really love it.It has so much room so I can cram everything into it. Today was a lovely ending to one of the best weekends! Back to the grindstone tomorrow!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend, what did you get up to?
